Prague

Over the weekend we went to Prague with my friend Christian and his girlfriend!  It was a really fun trip, we all stayed in a hostel in the center of the city.  We did a free 3 hour walking tour of the city and then directly after we did a tour of the castle!!! This castle wasn't just one castle it was a lot of building that made up the building.  These tours were really informative and we learned a lot about Prague, and I saw enough palaces and churches for a life time!!!!!!

On the 5 hour bus ride to Prague!
Just getting off of the train
Our sweet hostel!  We were supposed to have another and there was a booking issue so they kindly gave us this luxurious place to stay RIGHT in the middle of the city

The bill for our dinner was 1005.00 Crowns!!!!!!!!!  They use Czech Crowns for their currency so switching to that from Euros was quite confusing and funny how much money things cost!

A theater where Mozart's preformed!

Wenceslas Square with the national museum at the end of the boulevard.  This is an important place and has had many protest and political uprisings in this square
Old Town Bridge Tower

Spanish Synagogue, it is the the heart of the Jewish Quarter
Jewish Quarter
This is the oldest preserved synagogue in Central Europe

Old Jewish Cemetery - There was very limited space available to the Jewish population in Prague and purchasing extra land was impossible, so they started layering graves to have them all fit in the space they were allowed. All of the tombstones are placed very closely together since they are all on the top layer of soil. There are 12 layers of graves in this cemetery!
